602-44 Princess is the new offices of Sustainable Solutions Inc., BGW & Associates and THINK Design. The Project is located a heritage building in WinnipegÂ’s Exchange District, a national historical site celebrating the architecture on the turn of the last century.
The intent of the project was to embrace the best of both the old and new in the building, maximizing the reuse of the Douglas fir, oak hardwood and rich Manitoba Brick while sensitively combining it with new green materials that utilize a high level of recycled content and emit very low levels of VOCÂ’s. The project has also incorporated a comprehensive water reduction strategy that reduces water consumption by more than 40%. The project has also incorporated a comprehensive daylighting strategy with high efficiency lighting fixtures and a comprehensive control system to maximize comfort will minimizing the projects energy consumption and environmental impact.
