Agrandissement Entrepôt et Siège Social J.Walter Compagnie Ltée

L'entreprise J.Walter Compagnie Ltée fut fondée en 1952 à Montreal. L'entreprise s'installe en 1966 à son siège social actuel à Pointe-Claire. Le bâtiment a subi de multiples transformations en parallèle avec l'expansion de l'entreprise. Le présent projet doublera la superficie actuelle du siège social dans le but d'améliorer les installations et d'intégrer la division BIO-CIRCLE. La philosophie de l'entreprise a mené à la conception d'un bâtiment écologique afin d'en faire une vitrine mondiale. La partie centrale du bâtiment marque le point focal du projet. De chaque côté on trouvera les installations de Walter et de BIO-CIRCLE. Un grand hall d'entrée aménagé de nombreux puits de lumière afin de maximiser l'apport de lumière naturelle, autant dans l'agrandissement que dans la portion existante du bâtiment. Les dirigeants de Walter ainsi que l'équipe de professionnels désirent construire un point de repère pour la Ville de Pointe-Claire tout en promouvant la construction écologique pour les bâtiments commerciaux.____________________________________________________________

1. Walter Company Ltd. was founded in 1952 in Montreal. The company settled in its current head office in Pointe-Claire, in 1966. The building has undergone several transformations that have followed the expansion of the company. The current project will double the current surface area of the head office in order to modernize the installations and integrate the BIO-CIRCLE division. The company's sustainable development philosophy has led to the conception of an ecological building which will be used as a global showcase. The central part of the building marks the focal point of the project. To its sides, will be the Walter and BIO-CIRCLE installations. The grand entrance hall will include skylights to maximize the incoming natural light in both the newly expanded portion as well as in the existing portion of the building. Walter management and the team of professionals involved are committed to creating a landmark for the City of Pointe-Claire, while promoting the concept of ecological construction for commercial buildings.
