Summary

Ajax Fire and Emergency Services, OntarioÂ’s first ISO 9001 registered Fire and Emergency Service is a full-time department committed to providing the highest possible level of customer service to the residents and visitors of the Town. To meet the demands of the growing community, the Town has committed to constructing a new Fire Station & Headquarters as part the first phase of a larger development project at the corner of Rossland Road and Salem Road which will also see the future design and construction of a Municipal Operations Facility.

When constructed, the new Fire Station and Headquarters will be approximately 2,600 sq. m. (27,987 sq.ft.) incorporating a multi-truck apparatus room with support space for Fire Fighters as well as an administrative office component and Emergency Response Centre for 911 calls. In the event of a major disaster, the Ajax Fire Station and Headquarters will be used as the main Emergency Operation Centre for the area.

This project is the first major architectural project promoting environmental initiatives in Ajax and will act as a catalyst for future environmentally responsible development projects.
