The intent of this project is to restore this prominently located "Architectural Jewel" to its former distinctive position and function in Winnipeg's downtown core. The proposed energy upgrades includes extensive electrical and mechanical work as well as extensive upgrades and restoration to the existing building's envelope. The proposed work on the one hundred and four year old building will serve to extend the life of the building for another century.
As the priceless, historically relevent elements of the building's exteriors have been restored about a decade ago, the planned interior construction will ensure the extension and continuation of the building's life cycle.
