To be developed over time in phases, the City of Kingston's Multiplex Community Centre is envisioned to be a social, recreational and cultural focal point for the community now and well into the future; one that will grow and the elements of which will evolve as the needs of the
community change. The project include:
· 4 NHL size ice pads in total (with one to be outfitted to accommodate figure skating)
· Multi-purpose rooms
· Food service facilities
· A pro shop to supply the needs of those using the recreational component of the Project
· Fitness Centre
· Community Storage rooms
· A first aid room
The facility is expected to also have a community use aspect for groups within the community on a booked basis, which would mean complimentary to the recreational components there would be other facilities such as meeting rooms(s), storage, office space, and kitchenette.
