Summary

Lakefield College School is presently located on a 155 acre wooded campus on the east shore of Lake Katchewanooka north of Peterborough Ontario. The project will consist of new building additions to the existing school complex of approximately 2,353.50 m2. The addition is intended to bring together various sport and recreation activities, outdoor education classrooms, and student lounge areas within a vibrant series of new spaces designed to promote interaction within the existing campus structure.

Consistent with the intention of the school’s overall plan, the facility has been designed to accommodate pedestrian flow from existing buildings and vehicular parking areas. New corridors are designed to link directly with existing flow to provide a closed loop of circulation around a central exterior courtyard.
