The project is a new 65,000sm corporate office building for Manitoba Hydro. It is located on a full block on Portage Avenue in downtown Winnipeg and will be a new home for 1800 employees. The building is being designed using an integrated design process to C-2000 and LEED standards and has targeted a 60% saving in energy relative to mNECB. The 21 storey building is designed by KPMB Architects in Toronto with Smith Carter Architects of Winnipeg as Architects of Record. Prairie Architects of Winnipeg is the professional advisor and LEED consultant.
