Consistent with Xstrata's core corporate values, a decision was made early in the design process to design and construct the new Office / Dry Complex in a manner that used land, water, energy, and material resources appropriately and efficiently in order to provides a safe, comfortable, and productive indoor environment for building occupants, in accordance with the principles of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
