Summary

Summit REIT and its partner Giffles Construction are constructing a single story office building for R&SA’s exclusive use. The building is one story and over 35,000 sq.ft. and confirms R&SA’s commitment to the Atlantic market. As part of R&SA’s and Summits commitment to the environment the building will incorporate a number of “green” features both in the construction process, the building and in the furnishings. Some of these include:

o Increased attention of sediment and erosion controls during construction

o Bicycle parking for staff with shower facilities

o Close proximity to public transit

o Water efficient toilets

o Installation of high efficiency HVAC system (heating ventilation and air conditioning)

o The interior design will optimize the use of natural light

o Solar heated domestic water

o Water efficient landscaping

o High performance glazing and energy efficient building envelope
