The University of Toronto Mississauga Medical Academy is a new building of 5980 m2 to expand the enrollment of the Faculty of Medicine at the University's Mississauga Campus. The program includes lecture halls, classroom spaces, research laboratory spaces, graduate research spaces and academic office spaces and a video conference facility to communicate with the Medical Faculty's facilities on the University's St. George Downtown campus.
Site work includes a storm water management pond, greening of existing hard surfaced parking areas, and supplementation of the sites existing natural landscape.
Sustainability features include a tie in to the campus' central plant, alternate energy resources, heat recovery within the Academy's mechanical systems, and green roof terraces.
