Summary
Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are pre-fabricated building components that provide both structure and insulation. They can be assembled on site quickly, have less thermal bridging, and can contribute to an extremely air tight building.
A typical SIP consists of an insulating core (often EPS foam) and a structural skin (often OSB).
